When the Clarksville Athletic Club was built in 1993 the owners had certain goals for their business. The mission statement and overall philosophy is best exemplified by the following statement: The mission is to create and maintain the best recreational, social, and fitness facility in the area; to establish a good reputation and to become an integral part of the community.
Over the years CAC has been achieving these goals. Not only do our five pools, sand volleyball court, and racquetball courts make us physically the best social and recreational facility in Clarksville, but our staff and members truly like to have fun here. We participate in leagues for sand volleyball, walleyball, and racquetball, have a yearly racquetball tournament, host a Monday night Titans night complete with a chili cook-off and big screen TV's, host birthday parties, swim lessons, free racquetball clinics, and lots more.
We have been constantly adding to the facility. We have added new treadmills, elliptical machines, recumbent bikes, etc. periodically throughout the year, our fully stocked 5000 sq. foot weight training room was added after the facility was originally built, and the sand volleyball court was also an addition. Not only are we constantly adding new equipment and areas to the facility, we keep our programming current. We continually update our group exercise classes adding such classes as pilates and resistaball. Our personal trainers stay up to date with the currents trends and their certifications.
We have also been establishing ourselves as an integral part of the community with a good reputation by participating in events such as hosting the racquetball competition for the Senior Games. We also host a yearly racquetball tournament where the proceeds go the Casey Deer Scholarship Fund. We have made our facility available for after prom functions for area high schools. We have held food drives during the holidays, and made numerous donations to other local events and charities.
