1. Tennessee Theatre, Knoxville, TN

Known as “the South’s most beautiful theater” this venue first opened its doors in 1912. Decorated with a Spanish-Moorish style on the interior, you will be wowed by the performances and the décor. Hosting musical acts, dance shows and theatrical performances, you’re sure to find an entertaining show that’s great for a night out!

2. Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Nashville, TN

Located in the heart of Downtown Nashville, venue houses the Nashville Ballet, Nashville Opera and Nashville Repertory Theatre as resident performances. With three separate stages, there is always something interesting to see here. Check their upcoming shows to find an entertaining act to attend. 

3. Playhouse on The Square, Memphis, TN

Playhouse on The Square is a regional theatre company that is found in the Memphis area. 5. Paramount Center for The Arts, Bristol, TN

This Art Deco designed theater was originally created as a movie house in the 1930s by Paramount-Publix. After closing its doors for ten years, the local community raised the money to renovate the theater and make it into one of the premier live performance venues in the state. Community theatre can truly tell you so much about a city. This Memphis not-for-profit started in the 1920s and is still a gem in the area today. 7. Chattanooga Theatre Center, Chattanooga, TN

8. Hendersonville Performing Arts, Hendersonville, TN

This teaching theatre provides both children and adults with the chance to develop and learn about acting and putting on productions. Hendersonville Performing Arts’ family oriented plays feature so much talent; it’s definitely worth a visit!

9. Dark Horse Theater, Nashville, TN

Dark Horse is a small performing arts theatre located just outside of downtown Nashville. This venue used to be a Presbyterian church but now shows theater, music and dance performances.
