Scarritt-Bennett is a non-profit education, retreat and conference center, located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, on ten tree-filled acres. The ten buildings, constructed of crab orchard stone in collegiate gothic architectural style, give the grounds a peaceful, nurturing atmosphere. The compact setting means that it’s a short walk to well-equipped meeting rooms, delicious meals, and restful sleeping rooms.
The peaceful setting belies the busy schedule of meetings, programs, and educational opportunities available here. The gothic chapel is a popular place for the 100+ weddings held there each year.
The Center has strong commitment to promoting racial equality, cross-cultural understanding, the empowerment of women and spiritual renewal. Your support helps us to offer programs that continue this mission
Nice, not too expensive place to stay. It is not a hotel and doesn't have the perks of a hotel room. The rooms are small with only a bed, desk, chair, and rack to hang clothes. The bathroom is shared between two rooms which is kinda inconvenient. But it was perfect since I was there for a conference and didn't spend too much time in the room. It is in walking distance of Vanderbilt University and in a really nice area of Nashville. Restaurants and shops are a 15 minute walk or less. The campus is beautiful.
Beautiful chapel and dining hall. Great food. Small auditorium also good for meeting. Parking may be limited for large gatherings.
Great meeting spaces and a wonderful campus. The food was outstanding. The accommodations are dates dorm rooms with shared bathrooms. Overall a good experience except for sleeping.
Very helpful staff. Good price for the location. Dorm style
Great, historical site with beautiful landscaping. Classrooms can be too hot or cold, depending on the season.
