The Caldwell Classic Color Run is organized by students from the National Honor Society and their teachers at Pope John Paul II Preparatory School.  We are coming together as a community to raise funds for The Jason Foundation, who calls Hendersonville their home.  The Jason Foundation is dedicated to the prevention of the “Silent Epidemic” of youth suicide through educational and awareness programs that equip young people, educators/youth workers and parents with the tools and resources to help identify and assist at-risk youth. This cause is near and dear to our hearts.  We are determined to make a difference.

The Color Run is a fivish-kilometer, untimed event. The participants are doused from head to toe in a different colored powder. Participants wear white at the starting line and finish the race plastered in color. It is truly a magnificent way to celebrate life with people from our community.

If looking like a box of crayons is not your cup of tea, we will have routes for you to forego the color and enjoy the sites of those passing through the color stations.

Participants will be able to pick up their bibs, t-shirt and race bag on Thursday and Friday during school lunch and from 3:00- 3:30 pm by the main office. If those times do not work for you, please arrive by 8:30, pick up will be at the Football Stadium concession stand.   If you have family or friends who would like to join, late registrations will be available on site but at this point we cannot guarantee that there will be t-shirts available.

Please arrive to JPII by 8:40 am at the latest.  The starting line will be at the lower soccer field.  Go to the "raffle table" to enter your name for the opportunity to win awesome prizes!

Race starts at 9.  Please stick around for prizes at 10am.

Be prepared to walk/run on different surfaces such as asphalt, gravel and grass.  The course is not friendly for traditional strollers. We do not recommend that you bring your dogs since the color is not good for them.  If you do, we ask that you take the color-less route.

If you choose the color route, your clothes will stain, particularly if you wear white which is traditional for color runs.  Bring sheets or towels to protect your car seats.  We will have leaf blowers available which effectively removes powder from skin, hair and clothes.
