Bristol Caverns

1157 Bristol Caverns Highway

Bristol Caverns is one of the oldest and most beautiful attractions in northeast Tennessee and has thrived as one of Bristol's most visited tourist attractions.  A modern system of concealed, indirect lighting highlights the natural colors and beauty of the formations for your enjoyment.  The tours itself takes you to all three levels of the caverns - from Mayor Preston's Chamber in the upper section to the winding banks of the Underground River 180 feet below on the cavern floor.  Along the Underground River, you will be dazzled by dramatical displays of  formations reflected in the streams waters.  You can also peer over Lover's Leap, view the breathtaking Bridal Veil formation and stare in wonder at  the dazzling formations of Entrance Hall.  Don't forget to bring your camera!

Our family had a great time here! We even brought along our 2 children, ages 6 and 7. The tour was very nice. You should definitely come in good walking shoes with good grip because, as with most caves, the ground was mostly wet and could potentially be slippery. Along with the fact that there are a decent amount of stairs to climb. It was very nice that they had handrails for most of the tour. It was very well lit so you could see the rock formations very well. The staff was friendly and the tour was quite enjoyable!

We really enjoyed our visit. Took about 1 1/2 hours to take the tour in which we were able to take all the pictures & selfies we wanted and ask a whole bunch of questions. Very recommended.

Never disappointed in the tour and the area. My guide Eric was knowledgeable and funny. Some of the tour has been limited in the last few years but still a fun few hours to spend underground.

I can only describe this experience as surreal, I'm still amazed by the beautifully out of this world quality that these ancient 200-300 million year old structures enable. There are magnificent vast rooms with arches, columns of natural limestone, calcite and other mineral formations and rivers of every color demonstrating Nature's artistry at every turn. A Native American haven, I felt the magic at every twist and turn!
