My wife and I rented the home site portion of Ijams. We had a beautiful wedding day and the site itself was perfect. The reason I give a two star review isn't because of the site, it is because of Sharon, who was absolutely rude to everybody, including bride and groom! I (groom) was unloading heavy audio equipment, decorations and drinks for the wedding, when Sharon told me I had to move my pickup truck because I was blocking the roadway. The roadway that was already blocked off for entry by wedding party only. There are other occasions where Sharon was rude, but I am not going to type them all.

This place is very peaceful and relaxing. Went for a walk near the water and the views were outstanding. The visitor’s center is opened til 5. I wish it would stay open til 7 since I ended up getting here just as they were closing, but in general it’s a great place.

This is a nice park. Perfect for kids. There are plenty of trails, all of them relatively easy. Leashes dogs are allowed. There is a nature center and there was an employee who brought out live owls and an opossum. There are rocks for the kids to climb on. The zip lining and tree houses weren’t open buy looked really cool.

Summer Camp Registration... We've sent 2 emails to Director and Assistant, 3 voice messages to Ashland (recommended by front desk), and 2 other messages with person answering phones stating we had questions about their summer camp. GOOSE EGG, not even a response. Ijams is a great place to get a small hike in, but wouldn't trust their staff to run a Summer Camp. You decide.
