I was very impressed with this zoo. I actually live in Kentucky and we usually go to the Cincinnati zoo around 5 times each summer. I was interested in changing it up and we decided to go to Knoxville Zoo instead. It is a bit smaller than we are used to, but not too small. The exhibits were done rather well. We had so many great animal encounters while we were there too. I will have to add pictures later! My little girl loved getting face to face with the tiger. 100% great experience. The employees were more personable as well. They would ask how we were doing as they walked past. Could not have gone any better! We will be back.

This was one of the best zoos we have been to and certainly the most child oriented one! So much to keep the kiddos entertained and in great moods! The trolley from the parking lot to the main gate was so helpful. The splash pad area was is so well designed. Being able to bring in our own food and drinks was incredibly wonderful as well. Those things are usually pricey and keep us from days out occasionally, but this was such an enjoyable and cost effective day. A great family place all around.

Great place full of happy looking healthy animals. This is definitely an all day event so plan to be there for quite a while... they staff were amazing, from taking us into enclosures and discussing animals, names and all, to helping hold up children to see better. There is handicap access through out the park but being a zoo there are several hills that are difficult to navigate. Definitely worth renting or bringing a motorized wheelchair.

I feel like a little kid every time we go to the zoo. I love the Knoxville Zoo. The new tiger exhibit area is excellent. My kids always love the elephants and the camel rides. I suggest going early in the morning or closer to the evening especially in the summer Bells the animals are more visible and active. They're always making improvements and I can't wait to see what they do next.

Love the zoo. Love they have fans with water for hot days. They even have a water fountain to refill bottles. My son loved feeding the giraffe, he even got to help spray a elephant down. Can't wait to bring him again.
